Importance of Self

Welcome to my live and unscripted conversation with Patricia A. Muir, around my philosophy on authenticity, self-acceptance, intuition and the feminine. Thank you, Patricia, for your invitation to share my lens on this. This conversation was tailored to Patricia's community of women in the Executive Encore space — women who continue to serve in executive roles after retirement, after transmuring major illnesses, and who hold service to others in the highest esteem.

To my community of fellow empaths, introverts and women who thrive in our feminine energy, service to others as the priority is not just draining, but detrimental to our health, our very being. In the interview, and as is always intended with all I share, I closed with my usual reminder to “embrace what resonates and release what does not”.

May we always remember that a deeper, individually sovereign, intrinsic approach to life is very much rooted in the Self. The Self, the true innate you, is a crucial aspect of this approach to life — it Is entirely based on the self. If it is at all based on anything external to the Self, then it is a culmination of you and the influences that you have taken into consideration, but it is not the core, authentic and truly intuitive You. You truly do have what you need within yourself.

The reason Self-love overflows, is because it began within and became truly whole, needing no external validation. Still, it is wonderfully affirming to see evidence of self-trust and intuition being accurate, through synchronicity along the way. And, as Patricia mentioned in this interview, our intuition does indeed prove itself, in the outcomes. This wholeness gives way to healthy interactions with others. There is no resentment or disappointment when two well-boundaried individuals who honour compatibility, realize they're not a good fit. Conversely, they're able to trust themselves when they realize that they are a good fit.
