I miss my

Mommy.

Today is always a tough one for me because she's an ocean away, and I always wonder if it's worth it being so far away. Only

mothers and daughters

understand the complexities of their relationship with each other;

the love is surpassed by nothing.

Supernatural Bond

My mother's love is the strongest magnet ever created - even when you need some space,

she can't help but be there.

Still, the ESP factor is very cool. If I have a bad day, or feel anxious about a workshop, she always seems to know, and she'll call to make sure I'm okay. Sometimes I'm standing in a 'shady' neighborhood waiting for a bus, and she'd call "something just told me to call you" - who knows what those calls save me from!

Total ESP!

I'm a full ocean away!

I am so eternally grateful for my mother.

I hope that you all have a lot to be thankful for, today, because of your mom and the women in your lives who've stood as mothers with you.

To my friends and family who have become mothers,

I can't wait to join you!

I beam when I see your baby pictures, and even when you talk about the senselessness of

operating on no sleep while talking about how great they smell.

I marvel when I see how quickly your babies turn into toddlers and adolescents, and

I wonder how your hearts cope

with the ever-changing boundaries and sharp minds as they grow. I see it with my own mother.

I've learned so much in preparation for my own, from you, and as much as I know every experience is unique,

I'm grateful I'll have you to share it with!

Great Memories

My granny's not with us, and I miss her terribly. She, like my Mom was

one who couldn't help but be there,

so this is also a tough time for my Mom.

Too many of my friends are in this boat, today

- to you, I send my love as well, and lots of huge hugs - and I pray that you have a million great memories to hold on to, even in this moment, that make you smile.

My mother is an information technology (IT) manager, so she's all to aware of security risks and privacy breaches with open source technology and other such dangers. As a result, despite my sudden urge to

share her with the world, boast about her beauty and rave about her passion for her children,

I must refrain.

Please, Please, appreciate your loved ones all year 'round. One day can't be enough.
